Sometimes we don't realize it, but humans are always telling stories. Sometimes these stories are fables from long ago. Often, they are simple events we relate to our friends. This week, we talked about storytelling. To do this, we practiced how to use simple past verbs vs. past continuous verbs. We also talked a little about how to use stative verbs. If you are not sure about what stative verbs are, CLICK HERE for a list and a description to help you.
For your homework this week, choose one of the videos below. Each video is a Canadian story, but these stories don't have many words. Please write at least 100 words to tell one of the stories. You may read your classmates' work, but don't copy them! Instead, try to improve upon what they did. Also, don't forget to do your WORKBOOK: pages 48 and 49C.

There are three Mascots of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic.They are Sumi, Quatchi and Miga. As I know Quatchi is the Sasquatch, Miga is the Sea Bear, and Sumi is the Thunderbird. Miga is lives in the ocean with her family. And the Quatchi a shy and gentle Sasquatch with a long brown beard and blue earmuffs. In my opinion the Sumi stand for the surf-riding and the snow board and so on. And the Quatchi is stand for the ice hockey. Sumi play the ski and he can fly. I think that the three Mascots with the Winter Olympic is the meaning of the Olympic spirit. It's the fair play.

They were start a rode in order to represent the Olympics. While they were start a rode they meets Sumi.
Sumi had been skiing. They had received a letter of invitation. Miga and QuaTchi had rideing on his back.
Finally, they had arrived Vancouver.
There were two friendly neighbors,they were reading news,were basking in the sun,shared their goods each other.It was really harmonious.But someday,A beautiful flower appeared.Both of them liked it very much,and they wanted to get the beautiful flower,but there was only one flower,it was hardly satisfing both of them at the same time.They argued for owning the flower for a long time,and both of them did not give it up,so finally ,they were fighting each other for the flower.At the end,the harmonious life was changed by the fight or the flower

quatchi is dolphine. They are all of Olympic player. All player went to holiday. By the way miga met to Quatchi and miga and Quatchi met the sumi. So they played funny. And they became Vancouver Olympic winner
